On Tuesday night it was my privilege to be a guest in New York City at Socrates in the City, a prestigious event that my friend Eric Metaxas, a NYT bestselling author and nationally syndicated radio host, does from time to time. The event focused on my new book, The Faith of Christopher Hitchens, and was held at the exclusive Union League Club. I am honored to have been invited and enjoyed it very much. Below you will find some beautiful photos from the evening.

The event was a hard sell out. You can hear it on Eric’s radio show and see it on the NRB network.
Eric is something of a comedian. He had me laughing at various points in the discussion.

Dick Cavett was in attendance and kindly introduced himself to me after the event. When I told Dick that my mother was one of his fans, he asked for her number and told me that he would call her. He did. She was thrilled. (For those who are too young to know who Dick Cavett is, he was the Jay Leno of sorts of the 60s and 70s.)
